Salesforce has restructured how it sells AI three times in about a year: Einstein add-ons became a $125/user/month Agentforce add-on, packaging then expanded to Flex Credits, conversations and Agentforce 1 Editions, and in September 2026 Core, Advanced and Max editions appeared. Every change below is verified against Salesforce's own pages.

Salesforce's Core/Advanced/Max editions are now live on one pricing page
- Core, Advanced, Max announced Sept 3 with pricing described as taking effect "later this fall" — not yet shown as purchasable
+ Core $195/user/mo, Advanced $395/user/mo, Max $550/user/mo now live on Salesforce's Sales Cloud pricing page — Core/Advanced show "Try for free," Max shows "Contact us," same Flex Credits allotments as announced
What this means: Core/Advanced/Max pricing has moved past the announcement stage: budget $195–$550/user/month depending on tier, and confirm with your rep which one applies to you.
The prices themselves haven't moved since the September 3 announcement. What changed is the status: Salesforce's Sales Cloud pricing page now lists Core, Advanced, and Max as active editions with the same figures as announced — $195/$395/$550 per user/month, billed annually, with 500,000/1,000,000/2,750,000 Flex Credits per org per year respectively. Core and Advanced carry "Try for free" buttons; Max requires contacting sales. One inconsistency: Salesforce's dedicated Agentforce pricing page (the source for our $125/mo add-on and Agentforce 1 Editions entries) still doesn't mention Core, Advanced, or Max by name — those editions currently live only on the Sales product pricing page. We could not confirm Salesforce's own claim that existing Agentforce 1 Edition customers get a free upgrade to Max, and no specific effective date is stated anywhere we checked. Both remain unconfirmed.

Salesforce adds Core/Advanced/Max Agentforce editions at $195–$550/user/mo
- No fixed-credit Agentforce edition tiers — packaging was the $125/user/mo add-on plus consumption-based Flex Credits and Agentforce 1 Editions from $550/user/mo
+ Three new Agentforce Industry Editions — Core $195/user/mo (500,000 Flex Credits/org/year), Advanced $395/user/mo (1,000,000 Flex Credits/org/year), Max $550/user/mo (2,750,000 Flex Credits/org/year)
What this means: These three tiers ($195/$395/$550 per user/month) now set the range for an Agentforce budget. Ask your rep which one maps to your current edition.
On September 3, 2026, Salesforce announced a new three-tier Agentforce Industry Edition structure: Core, Advanced, and Max. Each tier is priced per user per month and bundles a fixed amount of Flex Credits per org per year, rather than leaving credit usage entirely consumption-based. Salesforce says pricing on existing legacy editions is unchanged, and the new editions are rolling out "later this fall" rather than immediately. The announcement doesn't clarify how these relate to the Agentforce 1 Editions or the standalone $125/user/month add-on covered in our earlier entries. Whether they're replaced, renamed, or simply run alongside the new editions is unconfirmed, so we're not asserting a replacement here.

Salesforce keeps Agentforce at $125/user/mo but adds new pricing models
- $125/user/month billed annually (Agentforce add-on, single option)
+ $125/user/mo add-on remains, plus new Flex Credits ($500/100,000 credits), Conversations ($2 each), Agentforce 1 Editions (from $550/user/mo), and a $5/user/mo Agentforce User License
What this means: Already paying $125/user/month for Agentforce? That price doesn't change on its own. Check whether Flex Credits, per-conversation charges, or the $5 user license now apply to how your team actually uses it.
The $125/user/month Agentforce add-on hasn't been replaced; it's still listed for Sales and Service. What changed is the packaging around it: Salesforce now also sells consumption-based Flex Credits, per-conversation pricing, a much pricier all-in Agentforce 1 Edition tier, and a low-cost per-user license that still requires buying Flex Credits separately. For buyers, $125 is now one option inside a wider menu rather than the only current path to Agentforce.
What this means: Still being quoted “Einstein” pricing? Ask your rep to confirm you're not paying for a retired SKU. Agentforce is the current name and price.
This is an add-on price on top of the underlying Salesforce edition, not a replacement for Salesforce's core CRM subscription. Salesforce announced the Einstein-to-Agentforce replacement publicly in August 2025, so it's not a hidden pricing-page swap. The migration mechanics are where it gets less obvious: Agentforce (Default) reached End of Sale on June 17, 2025, and Salesforce's own Help docs lay out what happens when an existing Einstein customer upgrades their SKU to Agentforce. Separately, as of October 24, 2025, Agentforce usage outside unmetered employee-agent activity is tracked through a new "Flex Credits" system, so the $125/month sticker price doesn't mean unlimited AI usage. We could not verify a universal rule that every legacy Einstein customer is automatically moved to the new pricing at renewal; treat that specific claim as unconfirmed.
